Hey guys,

I finally got my new Albert Lee!!!

Waiting for it for some months now was a really tough task, but reading interesting stuff here and seeing all these beautiful guitars of you guys helped me a lot to get over it... :)

I was really surprised how beautiful the finish is in natural. All the photos I have seen of Black Cherry Burst were nice, but I have read that it is difficult to catch in a photo and now I know how true that is. I tried it over and over again and finally came up with these photos.

It is my first Music Man and although my demands were so high (after reading of how splendid these instruments are), the guitar easily exceeded my expectation. It sounds, plays and looks beatifully - and it even feels great. Everything is simply perfect. I fell in love right from the start... Can't wait to use it live!!

Now here are some photos I took of it this afternoon. Hope you share my joy!! :)

Welcome to the BCB faction of the Albert Lee Owners Club.

Edit

You will love it live and don't be surprised when some of the audience comment on the great tone!!

Hey Spud,

YES, they are!! - Could be sisters! We should bring them together and make them play with each other :p

The photos of your AL were the main reason for me to decide for the black cherry burst - and even the Tele knobs!! Thank you for your fine photos, I am glad that I decided that way! :)

The only thing I would like to change are the screws - they are black and I would also like to have them in silver. Any idea where to get them? :)

Been a long time since I was in Germany - played the PN Club Scwabing Munich in the 70's!!!

It's great that you used some of my pics to base your decision - the BCB is the favourite out of my 3 Al's. I'm waiting for a humbucker gamechanger to come out and I could be tempted to buy one more - but I'd have to let one of my guitars go to fund it.

It's strange that it came with black screws -I would send an e mail to Customer services to see if they can do something for you?

Long story, but to make it short: it came with a black pickguard and all the black plastic. I changed all the black parts to the white plastic parts, excpet for the screws, as I didn't have them..

Maybe someone wants a black pickguard, black knobs, tremolo bar, pickup covers and trem cover plate?? I would trade agianst silver screws... :)

Congrats on your first Ball and a beauty at that. What kind of guitar did you play before you got the AL? I played nothing but Strats or Teles for more than 25 years though I did own one EBMM EVH for quite some time before going hard the last 5 years and my last 8 guitars in that time have been nothing but EB. I found it a real smooth transition and they have made the last 5 years a lot of fun as well as giving my playing a shot in the arm.
