Well, my new (to me) Sport finally arrived... I'd like to get the DOB for serial number A91408.

The thing arrived as NOS - it still had the plastic on the pickguard and trem & control cavity covers! Frets are untouched - there's even some fret buffing residue on the fretboard still :D If it wasn't an early example of a discontinued model that disappeared from the catalogue by '99, I'd think it was brand new....

I put a new page for it on my website, here. A lot of the text was cannibalized from other pages on my site - I'll add more comments after I've had the guitar a little longer. I will say this - it's one sweet axe! For the price I paid, an absolute steal! It fits right in with my other Axes - the same but slightly different, I absolutely love it!

Nice guitar Jimi D, good score:cool:

I think the Axis model looks very good with a pickguard, it reminds me of a Telecaster. (and i love those)

Have fun with it,

btw, i really enjoyed reading your website.

Sweet! I really like it with the pickguard. Makes it look kind of 'dressed up.' Seems like you got a great deal. Enjoy!
