Are the newer EBMM SKB cases coming with red interior now?

That's the interior color for the JP7, mine is that color too.

That is one fine guitar, man, DG is the color for my next JP for sure.

And the D-Sonic is a beast, eh? :D

Wow that color is fantastic. Both on the guitar and inside the case. I can't wait to open mine to see some Egyptian Smoke!! I might have to get a 6 string in this color, it's amazing. Good call.

Just curious, what gauge strings are you all using for this guitar? I had 9's, decided to switch to 10's, liked the 10's but it changed the feel of the trem and string bending, and now I'm thinking 9's again. What would Petrucci do?:D

Im using 10's and considering going up to 11's! But that is just me, I really like the sound of some meaty strings while shredding or in some beautiful cleans, it really pushes up the tone.

I agree that the tones are much fuller and bell-like, but I'm looking for playability again. I wonder what a JP6 trem would feel like.

Hey, Darren, where'd you get those knobs? I forgot the thing you said a while ago when someone asked you. They look sick! I really wanna do it to mine, but I can't find knobs that suit the ergonomics of my guitar (ex: too tall, long, not smooth enough) and yours look great!

I just picked them up at a local store. They're not bad... bigger than most chrome dome knobs, and the knurls on them are quite deep. I also had to get them drilled out to 1/4" to fit over the pot shafts, as they didn't have holes big enough.

Personally, i think Gotoh chrome knobs would look even better... they're slightly smaller and have more of a "dome" to the top. And Gotohs fit without modification.

I'll consider the chrome knobs they do look really nice on your guitar darren.
