Check out my new Silhouette. I've wanted one of these for ages and I finally got her in the perfect colour. I just love white guitars. I kinda wished it was HSH but I'm still loving her. Very vintage sounding and playing axe. Quite a change from my old Petrucci but I guess I'm getting old for all that thin neck/powerfull pups non-sense.

Enjoy the pics:

Beautiful guitar!

"I kinda wished it was HSH but I'm still loving her."

I'm no expert on this, but I imagine the routing is HSH so it should be easy to put a humbucker in the neck position. Someone else on this forum should be able to tell you for shure.

Enjoy

Check under the guard for the routing and molex connectors. The Silo's of that era were produced with several pup configurations mounted to the guard with the quick connectors so they could be interchanged.

I don't know if you can still buy full pup/guard configurations from MM but you can check with customer service.

Oh yeah, that is a nice one.

I thought they still made them with the quick connectors so you could change out the PUP/Pickgaurd. Am i wrong

I'm not sure:eek:

They had them for the older Silo's that were available in several different pickup configurations S/S/S, H/S/S, H/S/H etc. before the silo special was introduced. Now the Silo only comes in H/S/H and has no need for the versatility from a manufacturing aspect, but I don't know what connectors are used.

They may still be used in the Silo Special since there is the H/S/S - S/S/S option? maybe someone can chime in.

Great looking older Silo man. Looks to be in great shape, I hope you got a deal on it.

Enjoy it. :D

Thanks for the compliments everyone. I'm just loving the fatter neck on this one but I may consider putting a crusier in the neck and maybe drop a (slightly) more powerful pup in the bridge (breed?). The floyd and the 24 frets I just can't live without, yet... :D

Took her to rehersal today with my band and the cleans are just so sparklingly beautiful. God bless single-coils!

THX MM

Yes you are correct it's the silo special that has the quick connect not the silo. I temporarily had a brain fart there for a second. :D
