thanks matey - what i like in it is that the 'ray tone really sticks out nicely even with flat EQ, considering the dimensions of this amp. the first gigging amp which fits in my car boot. i can now buy a smaller coupe lol

yes you're right - it doesn't have a tweeter but i never used a cab with a tweeter so i don't know what it would sound like with one. however i slap and pop and the snap is enough bright for me. you can't go wrong with an EBMM anyways.

^ I agree, tweeters only really do HIGH stuff, that I've found. I have an EBS cab where you can adjust the tweeter volume. Up until just a few days ago, it's been off the whole time. I turned it on and it gave some hiss (normal for tweeters is what I was told), a lot of snappy high end and a lot of clack when the strings hit the frets. I think I prefer no tweeter, but that's me. There is plenty of highs without tweeters if the speakers are made right, and I have no doubt that Ashdown can make the speakers right.

I use an Ashdown MAG300 with a GK 2x10 cabinet (adjustable tweeter) as my practice rig and love it, especially with the Bongo5 HS. True stuff about that sub-harmonic button ..... you can definitely generate a rumble. And that low boost button ....... better wear some ear protection.
