Sounds like a compensated nut to me too.
Makes the guitar sound "more in tune" when you play chords down the nut end.
Ever tune a guitar when holding down a D chord then when you play say an A chord it doesn't sound quite right ? Well the compensated nut is designed to overcome this type of problem.
I think somebody said if you wanted a guitar to be totally in tune al the way up the fret board you'd need something like 127 frets. Don't quote me on that, after all 97% of statistics are lies !!! :D ;)

That's the compensated nut on your guitar for sure.

For those who haven't seen one yet....

Yup, that's it. I had never seen one before. I like the idea that my Silo is upgraded. Kind of counterbalances the cracks in my hardshell case. :D

If you're a multiple EBMM owner, you could accurately say that your Balls have compensated nuts.

:D

Please forgive me once again, but there were several unconfirmed reports of those who didn't get in to Pete's clotted creamfest were instead taken care of in the above way

Currently only one of my EBMM guitars has this feature. Food for thought. My company pays me to work so technically wouldn't that make me a "compensated nut"?

1) Clotted Cream fests. - not all they are cracked up to be...
2) Open days for Forum members. - yeah... but you could have hitched a ride from Belgium.
3)Pete DuBaldo shindigs. - After many years of these they lose their novelty
4)Tommy - Just buy the videos, they will teach you all you need to know.
5)Foggys photo album - "Southern Ontario", is that in Jersey?
6)To get to drive on the wrong side of the road. Actually, it is the "right" side of the road
7)Cheap 'Balls - Gotta love genetics, I didn't have to pay for mine ;)

By the way - Jellied eels are an east end of London delicacy often sold with pie and mash.
They are cooked for approximately half an hour and allowed to cool. The juices then solidify forming the jelly. Sometimes gelatine is added. Jellied eels are often eaten with chilli vinegar.

3) Being able to drive in better made cars on fun roads (i.e. with corners) at speeds that would make US cops drop their doughnuts...
4) Cheaper Cornfords and Marshalls
5) Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Queen, The Who, U2, Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Bowie...Radiohead, Blur, Muse, Marillion, Reef and dont forget Ozzy!!!
6) Tim O'Sullivan playing God Save The Queen with an Axis on peoples roofs...

Ok let's see, real quick here:

Led Zepplin - John Bonham... DEAD
Pink Floyd - come again?
Queen - Freddy Mercury... DEAD
The Who - Keith Moon & John Entwistle... both DEAD
Rolling Stones - Keith Richards... DEAD (they have a marionette look-alike that some guy moves around with strings when they perform)
The Beatles - John Lennon & George Harrison... both DEAD
Ozzy - If you seriously believe he's still alive...

Oh yeah, I'd be proud of that, too

And if you say it's sunny outside, then I know you're lying - it's always dreary in England isn't it? :D
