That is a pretty good stash you've got going, though! Myself I'm down to a Morse, Silo Special, Axis SS, Washburn N4 and home made strat (plus acoutstic, classical, and 50's Supro Archtop).
How do you like the Washburn?Legend, not really, but I had to make up for those 15 years of having none! Well if you ever decide on selling

Yeah! That's what turned me onto EB. I love Steve's playing and have always wired up my guitars with complicated wiring- series/parallel switches, additional filters, toggle switches, etc. When I saw a Morse at a good price I had to jump on it!
Personally I love it- it's my fave of the bunch. Doesn't have the body contours of most guitars which I miss a bit, but it's very comfortable to play. Really resonant- sounds better unplugged than any of my other electrics and I personally love the wiring- very intuitive when you get used to it. Only thing is I've got an older one with 6-bolts and a lacquered neck. I'd love to try one with the unfinished neck at some point because I do love the neck contour. (Though the finished neck has some advantages- it's the only guitar of the bunch that hasn't needed a setup when the seasons changed.)

Love it! It still has one of the best necks I've every played (yes ... waiting for that Axis Jon ...), big frets, and a floyd (and it looks cool- love the unfinished ash body).
The stock pickups are garbage though- an imitation Bill Lawrence and a Duncan '59. (Nuno uses real Lawrences, as did Dimebag Darrell before they ripped off the "dimebucker"). Anyhow ... put some high-output Lawrences in it and a D-Tuna and it absolutely screams. It's my go-to metal guitar right now.
I'm really looking forward to comparing it against the Axis SS. Also a HH config but with 5-way switching instead of 3 which will make it much more versatile. Long and short of it is, if the Axis feels right there's a good chance I'll part with the N4 and perhaps swap out the pickups.
The search perpetually continues ... for the perfect guitar.

Was *really* debating buying it! Then I bought jongitarz's Axis Super Sport instead
That was me that won the Purple SS. I was beginning to think that I was scammed-I paid the guy over 48 hours ago and had heard nothing else from him since. He finally e-mailed me back tonight. It will be on it's way shortly. I am looking forward to being in the EBMM club!

I agree, with locking tuners, changing strings is a breeze...I don't like the work invloved changing strings on a Floyd...cutting the balls and all...has anyone evr tried leaving the balls on at the tuner end...is it safe?Hookpunch said:
