Maybe just a bit higher. I think about where the upper horn is at breast bone level is about where things are right. Might try taking a notch out of the strap and see if that doesn't ease the problem some.

Q - What does your bass teacher have to say about 'where' and 'how' to strap on your bass for best overall playing & comfort; in both 'sitting' & standing positions ?

I find the sweet spot where my right hand just rests naturally on the upper countour and my left hand is not striving to get up on the E (or B in this case).

Hey guys, thanks for the real and not so real suggestions

I bought a new strap with heavier padding and played the 5er more to get used to it. I just got done playing it for a full hour and I feel that I could've gone on for another. I am definitely ready for the Syciprider 3rd World Country Tour. I also noticed that the bass seems lighter if I don't look at the fretboard. Maybe it's tugging at my neck muscles at that angle.
