My new tattoo - it's not a Bongo, but close.

I do like the new tat...I am itching for a new one mice elf....Have not figured out what I want yet. I have my wife and Mom represented, so maybe something to honor my son(mice un)..Sorry, wife is out of town, and I have some good tequila :D

I think the same tattoo law states that you need to be at least 1000 miles away to get an identical tattoo as another person - and it can't be on the same body part.

Thats true, but to bring that rule into effect you must register your arm with the copyright office. :)

If you knew anything about copyright law you would know that my posting it here does in fact serve as a coryright. :rolleyes: A poor man's copyright, without all the benefits of a copyright registration - but a documented copyright nonetheless. I would only need to prove it's my wrist which I believe I can by a little scar right at the top that I got when I was impaled at age 12 by the broken metal trim on a car I was thrown onto. It was neat, stuck in my wrist and ripped off of half the widshield when I tried to pull away. Of course I didn't think it was neat at the time.

edit: damn, upon checking the pic again I realized you can't see really see the scar. I'll figure something out.
 
I know you said it did not hurt but all I can is, OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! right by the blood vessles!!!!!!!!!!!! :eek: I want to get one someday. I've been saying that for about ten years. Just don't know what to get. It will probably never happen at this rate.

Lol, if I were you I would get "©" tattooed on your wrist just to be safe. :D

It was the same w/ me. A buddy of mine & I had been talking about getting ours for a year or two, but each of us had privately been considering getting them for many more years than that. Just needed to find the "right" one...

One day, without giving any advanced notice, he shows up with his! I got mine a week later! :cool:

I actually was browsing who was online (somebody's eyes are always watching...>:) and saw someone checking out this thread. Thought it was cool, and not only that, there's been a few times when I thought it might be fun to streak with a few of my friends through a frat party in college but I decided (and wisely at that) against it... I guess there's some things in life you can just live without doing, huh?

If anyone ever gets anything on their wrist I'd advise that you see some of your artists wrist work before doing so. I've seen some really horrible work there because of the veins and bones. Lumpy tattoos don't cut it in a place you have to see every day. I think this woman did a freaking great job, expecially considering my pulse was jumping out of my wrist from nerves when she was doing it.

Nice tattoo Joe. IME the inside of the wrist wasn't too painful.My calf on the other other hand hurt like hell. They were both done by the same artist so from what you said and my experience I think the calf is a painful spot for a tattoo.The one I was most afraid of was on my shin but it wasn't bad at all :D

I'm surprised that the shin wasn't bad, since I always thought the skin thickness (or lack thereof) was a major factor in how painful certain parts of the body are to be tattooed. I thought that's why boobies and asses don't hurt much (so I'm told). My upper back didn't hurt much at all, but my arm tattoo was killer when he was doing the tricep and bicep sections of the design.
 
I have a 3/4 "cuff" design around my left upper bicep. The work around the outside of the arm was no trouble at all. :cool:




The work around the underside of the arm made me want to SCREAM! :eek:
