I've spent a lot of time with this one the last couple of days, and I couldn't be happier. The sound is exactly what I was looking for, and it looks awesome. These pictures don't do the pearl redburst justice (indoor lighting with brown carpet as a backgroung doesn't compete with outdoor lighting...those pictures will hopefully be taken soon).

So far I've been spending a lot of time with positions 2 and 4, with the rest of the time being split pretty equally between 1, 3 and 5. There are really no bad sounds to come out of this thing so far.

Thanks smallequestrian and everybody at EB/MM for a great bass! I think I'll be very well set between this and the DD 2 Band 'Ray I have on order.

Thanks everybody! I'm continually knocked out by how great this bass sounds and plays. At first I wasn't sure about the matching headstock with the maple fretboard, but it grew on me in no time.

Very nice!

(I thought Pearl Redburst was only available on the Petrucci  )

There was a limited edition (50 basses, I think - 25 maple, 25 rosewood) Stingray made for Long and McQuade's 50th anniversary.
