In that case, of all the MM I have heard and had a dabble with, I would go to the Big Al, it does a pretty good Pbass "like" thump. good luck mate.

If you want P-bass thump, definitely consider a Big Al SSS or Reflex HSS.

Another vote for the Big Al SSS, Middle pickup, passive mode. Bang. And then there's all those other tones! As many have said before me, it's the Swiss Army Knife of basses. I'm seriously thinking of adding a 4 string to compliment my 5, I love this bass so much.
