Well gang, after racking the ol' melon for several years on what personal MM bass to get, the decision has been made by the powers that be (coindentally located in SLO , CA) and it has been ordered:

drum roll please.....

2007 Stingray4 in Blue Dawn,rosewood, HS.

Now I will feel the anxiety of waiting that all you do. However, the other playas in town should take this time to prepare for the onslaught of tone and beauty that will overcome them and create jealousy and envy everywhere I play.

Ok, that may not really happen, but it sure is nice to think about for the next 5 months.;)

Doug! Howdy, stranger. Where have YOU been?

Congrats on the soon-to-come bass.

Want to join the crowd in the waiting room?

Thanks for all the "hellos" from all my fellow forumites. I've missed talking to you all.

A brief explanation of where I have been is that I have been involved over the last year trying to get aligned with other small independant music store owners who feel that this industry is in a downward spiral to the bottom in terms of taking out the indie stores. There is such an unlevel playing field between the big and small guys that it is causing alot of stores to close.
Many major manufacturers have lost sight to the fact the small indie guy is who got them where they are. There are several glowing exceptions and I am happy to say that EBMM is one of those exceptions. They play fair and that is all we ask, and that is why I have continued to do as much business with EB/MM as I possibly can. (Thanks BP! We need more like you!)

I am not here to get on a soapbox. But I think it's safe to say we will all be interested to see what happens to some of these manufactureres and stores over the next year or two.

Anyway, Hello to you all. Glad to be back.:)
