hey hey,

I've got this lovely pre-eb stingray, and I am currently pondering trading it for a refin'd 63 jazz and an swr big ben 18" cab. the J is all original except for the finish.

the ray is just so heavy, i'm tired of playing a sandbag. i've also got a copperhead sr4 on hold for me .

thoughts opinions?

I know it's a different tone, but i've got the wal on the way, and the jazz weighs almost nothing (7.5 pounds) vs. the 13 pounds on my ray.

the deals not done yet, but i'm leaning towards it.

hmm..

I have always played a Jazz Bass. I just got the Bongo, which I love. I am waiting on a SR4 to come in :) I would say to get the Jazz for the variety. This will give you options, which is always nice. Good luck.

A Jazz that light? I want sound clips. My Jazz weighs more than my SR 5. It is a good one as is the SR 5. I never picked up a light Jazz in my day..
