Nice bass and rig!

How's the cab hold up? Have you tried any GK cabs, and if so, what do you like better about the Avatar? What gear did this new stuff replace?

What kind of music do you play?

I have only had the cab for 3 weeks, but so far seems pretty tough. Ive never played through a GK cab but I have heard good things about em. I got the Avatar because of the price, weight and tone(Did a lot of research). The GK head pushes the cab(1000 watts @ 4 Ohms) very nicely. This replaced my SWR 1x15 workingman's combo. I am very pleased!

Love that red! Like to hear how you like that Avatar 410 after some more time with it. I'm considering replacing my 410 but I don't us it all that often right now, usually just the 212 does enough 4 me.

Big +1...

Another Avatar fan here... Price is a big factor, but the reality is that it's a great cabinet regardless. I've tried a few combinations and settled on a 2x10 on top of a 4x10. Their 10" cabs are very articulate and punchy - I love them.

I can't speak for other cabs (e.g. comparisons), though, short of the usual noodling at the store.

Hey my man the 1001 pushes 700 watts @4 ohms, the main section.
The horn amp pushes 50 watts @ 8 ohms.

In any case, the GK's I have owned rocked!

Well, you can get the GK RBX 4x10 cab that I have for around the same amount of cash over at RMC audio. The castors on mine, all four of them, friggin lost all their ball bearings. The cab itself sounds pretty darn good though. Still, I haven't tried everything there is out there and I'm curious about what I might be missing out on.
