My son's new favorite bass at ABPG

My 12 year old Brendan is a bass player too and pretty dang good at that. He is starting to really appreciate the cavalcade of basses that roll through The Armybass Proving Grounds that are our home. This on however has caught his fancy more than any other in recent months. He played it for over an hour non stop after I set it up.

Here he is playing The Jackson 5's "I want You Back" in Ab no less. Not quite up to speed but very much in tune. I am a very big fan of EBMM fretless basses. I have never owned or played one that was anything less than perfect. The EBMM bass just seems to be the most ideal platform for a fretless bass IMHO. This is my first with the Piezo's however so I will need to do some experimenting to figure these out.

OK, let me see if I can get a point across here. I am well aware of my well earned reputation and I am not ashamed nor embarrassed about or by it. I also can take a good ribbing especially if it comes from the CEO, it is just nice to be known by him...but....sometime when I come to this forum, I really would like to talk about EBMM Basses as opposed to my whorish ways.....I'm just saying.


This is not directed at you Stankface, I am just hoping to keep this from turning into the standard fair when it comes to me posting about my "new" EBMM bass.

By the way, that's a fine looking young man. Appears he hasn't inherited your thighs, which is a good thing.

Its extremely cool that he has found a passion on 'your' instrument. My kids are just not passionate about playing music - all of them very talented, and one of them with an exceptional ear. No interest.

I would be broke if my kids enjoyed gear as much as I do - what a great thing to share with your kid(s).

Thanks BP and everyone else for the kind comments. Brendan is the one that takes after his mother in good looks and intelligence.....he gets the funk from me. He is very talented and a fast learner. I don't think he realizes how good he is. He seems to prefer Sterlings though. So far his favorites EBMM basses have been this Sterling and the Heinze colored Sterling.

Hey Jack, Brendan has been to visit uncle Mark at least once and I think he very well may have worn the pith helmet. Kinda weird that Mark has two. I mean to have one pith helmet is one thing...two and that is just a bit peculiar.
