I had a gig Saturday, and after we unloaded all of our gear back at the church where we rehearse.

When I got to practice tonight I went to our room, which is usually locked and my StingRay 5 was gone. It was the only thing missing from our room.

Ive never felt so helpless in my life. The bad thing is that I just backed out of one of my bands so my gear money is about non existent right now. I never thought anything of mine would get stolen, esp. from a freakin church.

There couldnt be a worse feeling than what I feel right now. I waited and waited for a Blue Dawn StingRay 5 and when I finally got one, it gets stolen. :(

Travis, ain't nothing I can say that you haven't already thought about, except I generally have the weaponry and the rounds available to actually do it.

Do you need a bass? I'll send you Heinz on loan if you need it, brother.

This SUCKS!!! Have you got the cops on it? I'd keep a close eye on pawn shops and hell for that matter eBay too. I'd rather some butt wipe steal my car than any instrument, instruments are too personal, I feel for you man. i wish there was something I could do. Need a lefty?

:( :( Sorry to hear that! You've got a pretty good eye on eBay, but I'll watch it to, including other bass guitar classifieds. You didn't post a serial in the Serial or Picture threads?

Travis, contact Will and ask him if he can't get you in touch with the store that he bought it from. I say a good castration is in order for whoever did it. I'll keep my eyes open for ebay, ads, etc.

I sympathise with you Travis, and I don't want to rain on your parade, but that's why insurance was invented. I pay an annual premium that costs just 3% of the replacement value of my gear for full insurance for virtually any scenario. But maybe I'm overcautious, since I've also been flamed for choosing hard cases over gig bags and for fitting straplocks on every bass I own

look it really sucks that another musician would steal anothers instrument. I have two examples of theft personnally. (not to mention things that have walked out the door at the factory)

At a high school party i trusted the drummer to make sure that my bass was loaded into his racing pinto wagon whilst I collected the 19 dollar gig pay. He was distracted by a chick and someone stole my 1957 maple v necked gold anodized custom fire engine red p bass (maybe dargin will post this as this was a very special bass for me...my dad gave it to me after 15 years of holding it back from me.)

I kept every musician awake telling them just drop it of at any of my pals house no Questions asked. I also told them that we were in contact with every music store (pre ebay) and that we were sending a mailing out with a pic telling everyone to look out for my bass. It was returned the next day on the side of my parents house.

hte next one is the first road trip with biff babies allstars in europe... I had a new style sabre made for me in sea foam green with checkerboard binding. ( I played this on the first Albert Lee instructional video) when we landed in germany it was the only no show. I still keep one eye on ebay because this is one of a kind. If anybody runs into this bass let me know there will be a handsome reward. In other words Im still missing that bass and pissed of at the a.h. that stole it

Wow man that sucks really bad. It is a shame that people will steal from a church (or any where for that matter). My deepest sympathies for you Travis. :( :( :(

There's nothing I can do to ease your (hopefully short-lived) and BP's longer lasting agony, but I hope one day very soon both of your missing friends are returned.

Thieves are scum.

Oh, and Jack, what else to say but what a genuinely nice offer.
