I feel for ya bro but consider yourself very lucky. My dad was a flute player (unlike father and son). Right after he left a gig, three scum-bags robbed the violin player, who left later, and took his precious instrument. But that wasn't all - they purposely broke all his fingers so he couldn't play again.
It hurts to lose an instrument but be thankful - you can still play awesome bass lines on another SR5.
