This is ok to do,but even doing these type of personal markings does not neccesarily mean that it can be proven that is your instrument when you get the law invovled.barroom hero said:i cant express how bad i feel for you. i cant imagine what youre going through. ive always taken something (pickguard, control plate, batter box, etc) off my bass and scratched my initials into the finish, just in case my bass does get stolen, i can use that as more proof of it being mine. best of luck to the return of your bass.
