I weigh mine on a digital postal scale. Most people do the bathroom scale method which is probably what the guy who sold this HH to Rich did.

An 8.25lb SR HH would be quite a catch though eh Dave??

Oh yeah, I have not seen one of those come by. I also use a Postal Scale, Bathroom scales don't work accurately.
Yeah Steve i called at least 50 places to get a light 30th. Basses have to slow down soon though I'm getting ready to do a full house remodel.

Steve the lightest Stingray I have is a trans Orange 6.9 pounds, Derek Brooks was over one day Last year to visit and he could not even believe it. So I showed him on the scale. I mean this is FEATHER Light.

Hey, if somebody told me a bass I sent money to them for was 8.25lbs I'd damned well expect it to be 8.25lbs or very close.

That said, most I've had come through (SR4 HH's) have been about 10lbs so you still got a fairly light one.

8.25lbs is unheard of.

At Summer NAMM there was this Trans Orange with Black Ice SRHH. The thing must have weighed 12 pounds. Even Sterling was shocked when he picked it up...of course he then promptly threw it at Kevin (I think) with no warning.

FYI, that is actually a decent colour combo.

Sorry about that extra ding that I didn't catch Paul...I did say that it had several dings when I listed it for sale at a very reasonable price. If you want to return the Bongo for a refund even after my 72 hour return policy then please do. I'll even eat the return shipping from the UK if it'll make you happy how's that??

I was a little annoyed at the time, but as it was indeed a very reasonable price, I've learned to live with it I shall be gigging it on Wednesday, in fact.

Nice of you to offer to get it shipped back, but I'll keep it, seeing as it hasn't stopped it sounding great (plus it's handy for those gigs where one might get dinged)

It'll also give me the excuse to horrify the forum with a new paint-job at some point

I went from a P Bass of 12+ lbs to this Stingray and it feels great. I play worship music and sometimes we are standing for 3 hrs at a time. We have a revival coming up on the 10th of Sept to the 13th and will probrobly be standing most of the evening. This light stingray at 9 lbs will be a God sent..........thank you very much...........
