Horses for courses... I know a little Custom Shop Strat that is getting more time than an Axis right now... having choice is a wonderful blessing, and both have their place and their #1 times. I couldn't rank one over the other as they are both so different.

I think we're walking a fine line here on Poppa's bandwidth...but my POV:

My Musicmen (plural?) are the smoothest, most easy-playing guitars I have. Sometimes though, you just want a completely dog guitar...one that's a pain in the ass to play (I'm looking at you, Les Paul). There's a time and a place for everything...doesn't make us love our MM's any less
