Yowsa! That combo is just awful! ... I mean, "awful" as in full of awe, inspiring awe, deeply respectful or reverential, that is. ;) (Phew... I had to hit Webster.com pretty hard for that one! :p)

The most suitable awe-related word would be AWESOME.

I cannot believe a son of the USA would not know this :D

you really need to stop doing this to me. my list keeps growing longer and longer and your not helping.

There truly are many awful good looking basses made by EB. Awesome as well.

Just do like I did walk in the shop where you are going to buy and pick up the one that looks best at the time play it and go home. Walk in again later and if it is still what you thought buy it. You will never be sorry and while many will have awesome looking EB basses you will still feel yours is awesome too.

Side note: Awful good looking is plumb acceptable as a compliment to us hillbillies. Not sure bout the west coast LOL.

Really great ! The metalic parts (knobs...) are really top on a black finish. Thats maybe onr of the disapointing thing on the bongos, the knobs are a bit cheap. Are there any better replacement parts, like for other basses ?

wow that moonstone is gorgeous...i was thinking black ice on my soon to be desert gold bongo...but maybe moonstone.... arrrrrgh choices.... has anyone got pics of a dg with moonstone??

I've got moonstone PG on carbon blue. Not sure it would fit with desert gold ; it's kind of grey and white with violet and blue reflects...For a desert gold I would'nt recommend it. Maybe you should go for a tort or a simple black.

mmm not a tort fan at all, i know ill be lynched for that. thanks for telling about the lilac bits, i think ill go with the black ice, not plain like the black...im paying enough for this baby itd better look like it. lol.

I will take the heat off ya. I don't care much for tort. It is old and looks like old flooring to me. Ya know that linoleum in granny's kitchen?

LOL.

We all don't like the same things. Wait!! Or do we?

Following tk's advice, i'll go to my grany's house this w-e, and 'ill cut some piece of lino, to see if I can make a nice pg... ;)

there are some colors that fits well with the tort, without that grany's lino feeling. For sure a sunburst with tort has an old-school taste...some of us likes it.

A while back I posted a pic of a trans orange StingRay 5 with a tort guard. It was heavenly.

Was it the one that hillsidebass was selling on Ebay? That one brought a lot of coin from someone in Europe. I don't remeber how much, but it was over $1500 US.

Someone's selling a SR 4 in Trans. Gold w/ Tort 'guard that looks pretty nice.

Here.

Still, I'd rather have a nekkid MM bass. :p
