Does anyone here own a EBMM in Mystique? How does in look in person?

It looks emerald green in pictures but it seems to look blue or purple at angles? I didn’t like it at first but it’s been growing on me.

I’m tempted to get another EBMM; currently I have a Stingray 2 and St. Vincent. At first I was considering a Valentine, but my Talladega and Tallageda Pro guitars overlap a lot and are damn nice. But I could do with another SSS guitar, so a Cutlass in Mystique is tempting.

I almost pulled the trigger on that color but went dark rainbow instead, so not much help from me and dont remember a forum member having one, at least one they shared.

Do like the color though from the pics I have seen!

I've collect many pics of the Mystique as I've been on the fence about this finish of whether I like it or not.
I've seen pics and videos where I'm liking it; but also some where it's a huge no.
I came across this video last week, and this makes it a no for me. Looks too much like a Christmas ornament.

But then videos like this make me say hell yeah! Start @ 6:21 mark

At today's prices; it's too risky for me personally.
I'll just wait for the next sparkle finish to come along. :)

Thanks for the feedback. I hear ya; I'm very much on the fence since my reaction similarly varies to the different pictures and videos. I might wait it out as well.

I love how adventurous EBMM is with their colors - but some years, none of them grab me.

I just pulled the trigger on a Stingray Special 4H bass in Candyman Red - and I'm not usually into red, but it was the best color this year. I really like Kiwi Green, but it was another color I was conflicted on.

Currently I have:

- St Vincent in Turquoise Crush Sparkle - I used the excuse I was buying it for my daughter. Nice color.
- Stingray Special Bass 5HH in Speed Blue - a nice fairly neutral blue; kinda flashy, but not over the top.
- Stingray 2 Guitar in Firemist Silver - it's not a color I'd prefer, but it was the only option with chrome hardware, and it's growing on me

I'd LOVE if they offered Chartreuse Sparkle. Dargie Delight is kinda similar, but it seems as rare as hens teeth.

Here's my small EBMM collection. The Stingray 2 guitar looks small compared to the others; it's lower bout is the same width as a Strat, though it's about 1/2" shorter in length. It's like a small but fast Porsche Boxster. The St. Vincent in comparison feels more like a boat-sized Cadillac, with a nice armrest to relax into as you play.

Nice man, love the St Vincent, great run right there.

Yeah, it was a great BFR. I had long been interested in the St. Vincent model (and was a fan of her work). When I saw this model, my daughter was around 13 and messing around with the guitar (her main instruments are flute & piccolo, for which she often wins 'All-State' at the HS level), so I bought it for her - but she never got into to. She loves the recent Stingray 2 though, saying it's perfectly her size. Cory seems to be a small dude, but I enjoy all 6'4", 250 lbs of me.
