Received a couple of older models today; 2009 Vintage Burst Silhouette Special and a 1998 Axis Sport. I might need some background, but it looks like I have a piece of EBMM history. IMG_0312.jpg IMG_0311.jpg

Beej is correct, the Axis Sports with the MM90's are great, the rosewood fret board combination ought to be sweet.

Thanks all,

I'm looking forward to hearing them. They are still acclimating to room temperature, but wow. The silhouette is ridiculously comfortable. The Axis has an aftermarket p90 in the bridge, but I still expect a Telecaster on growth hormones.

Oh, if anyone has some history on the whole MTV Sport and Music Festival and EBMM's involvement (if any), I'd sure like to know what the Axis is all about.

I don't know about this particular event, but EB has done a number of those guitars with different graphics for festivals, promotions, etc.

Love the Silo! Looks super classy with the rosewood fingerboard. Enjoy your new toys!

Tuned them up yesterday and fired up the 1w powerhouse. The P90s are beautiful. Full, yet can get some jingle out of them on clean. The Silhouette is by far the most comfortable guitar I've played, hands down. I'm not quite sold on the Axis body yet, though. But for those p90s...wow.
