Just bought an ENGL Ritchie Blackmore Head to run through my Marshall 1960B Hand Wired Cab with G12H Heritage 30's. Killer tone with my Silo Spec!
Only draawback is that it weighs about a billion pounds! But the tone outweighs the heft of hauling it around. I'll just have to work out more!

ENGL = tasty!

I've had my eyes on a set of their new preamps/poweramps as a choice for my new guitar rig. I'm SO undecided though.

Going the pre/power rack mount way? Ask Travis Larson, its working out for him.

I'm considering it too. More access to the tubes of your choice, and mixing pre amps and power amps makes customizing a personal tone a close reality.

$$$$ though

BLEH!

I'm really not sure which direction I'm going to go yet. I need to get out there and try out everything I can. Luckily, there's a dealer near me who sells Bogner, Mesa, Engl, Fryette, Orange, Peavey, and Rivera all under the same roof.

I was actually Really impressed with ENGL's lesser expensive Rack mount preamp. The E530 Modern Rock.

I was considering that one! The gain switches are foot controllable! So it's a 2 channel amp, but it's like a 4 channel since you can switch the gain stages via footswitch.

Plus, the price is SOOO right.
