Well a few of my buds over at sevenstring.org suggested that perhaps I was holding my guitar too low, which for the life of me I can't figure out why I changed my strap height (since I normally play NERD_LIKE high)...anyway , just thought I'd share this FUGLY pic my son took of me while I was pretending to be a rock star...don't laugh too hard now.

hahah..nice pic =)

I recently raised my strap up as well...I'm short and my fingers are short..so when I stand up, I found myself hunching over alot so I could get my arm around more..

I mentioned strap length in that post too. I don't know how those lowriders (like Luke) play the damn thing

I think BP must remember back at the open house when he and the pros were on stage exchanging guitars, he took petruccis and feigned playing it like a violin it was so high.

He could barely get his head and arm through the strap.
Friggin hilarious. :D

What do ya mean, funny? Let me understand this cause, I don't know maybe it's me, I'm a little 'blanked' up maybe, but I'm funny how? I mean, funny like I'm a clown, I amuse you? I make you laugh... I'm here to 'blankin' amuse you? What do you mean funny, funny how? How am I funny?
No, no, I don't know... you said it. How do I know? You said I'm funny. How the blank am I funny, what the blank is so funny about me? Tell me, tell me what's funny!

I have a whole new level of respect for you. Granted, it's much lower than before, but it's a whole new level. ;) :D

Raz,

Nice facial expression! It reminds me of the guitarist from Loverboy.. what was his name, Paul Dean or something?

Must be a Canadian thing! :D

I don't know how you can stand having your watch on your fretting hand when you play. I always have to take mine off or my wrist starts to hurt.

I play with mine on too. A heavy sucker at that! And my wedding ring too. Guys say to me, "Won't that mark up the guitar?", and I say, "It's my wedding ring and the watch was a Christmas present from my wife, they're supposed to leave scars!" :)

I don't wear a watch because "you don't wear a watch, the watch wears you"

I play with my class ring on my picking hand (only jewlery I wear), never had any issues in 7 years, don't think I'll have any any time soon!

Yeah, my wedding ring doesn't bother my playing, either. My problems are mainly with the wrist (tendonitis, ganglian cyst on tendon), so the watch just irritates those things.

I hear you about the watch, sometimes I'll take it off, if I find I notice it bothering me, but I wear mine loose...it just looks tight cause my forearms were so PUMPED!
And about the ring thing, yeah I want to take mine off, however
