Lately, Rob Harris of Jamiroquai has been my main influence and favorite guitarist. I live his playing, as well as his tone. My white Silo Special that I have on order is mainly inspired by him.

So, I'm quite interested in nailing the tone he had on the Funk Odyssey album, as well as the tours around that time. (Check out the Verona 2003 and Montreux 2003 videos on YouTube).

What amps and effects do you think he mainly uses? On his website, he has listed lots of old Marshalls, as well as two Mesa Lonestars.

If anyone has more info about what gear he was using at the time, both on the album and on tour, I'd be glad to hear about it!

Here are some examples:

sounds like a filter to me for the funk on the guitar ...like an old DOD 440 ....or maybe a Vibe set up to get funky..
