Naked sterling.... the bass I mean.

Upon waiting on a possible pending black pickguard I went ahead and took the MOP guard off the sterling. It actually looks pretty neat without one and I needed an excuse for some more practice at photography so here it is. Sorry for the big pics for some reason they resize on the photo bucket page but when I link them here there still the original size.

I've always thought that the pickguard screws are much more noticeable with a clear pg.

Nah its one of those things that I initially think looks cool, but I still prefer a solid color pickguard.

Yeah. The SR5 looks good naked for about 2 minutes then I put the pickguard back on.

BTW, the picture still looks really tiny on my screen.

I agree that taking the pickguard off always looks cool for about 10 minutes, then you realize its silly. I like black on almost every color. Some I prefer white pearloid.

Jack I sent you a PM this morning but I think something screwy is going on I keep getting multiple emails with the same reply to threads that Ive subscribed too today. But I wrote and said that MM nut had offered me one before I had read your post. I dont know if he is getting my PM's or emails either. I appreciate you offering it too me though and if he happens to change his mind or I cant get in contact with him ill gladly swap for yours.
