Naming your Bass.

My sterling gets called hunter after Hunter s thompson.... because its mean, it has attitude and it can write a damn good story....

My 'Other' bass is named lucy.. because it plays like it has been around the traps a few times...

It was fun. I haven't done the "family" gig too much in many years (Dude Jr's 20 going on 45). Karen and her boys all had a great time and consumed dogs, nachos, cotton candy, blue iceys and soft pretzels, bought a bunch of overpriced crap at the merch booth then stopped off on the way home for Jack in the Box monster tacos.

Mikey, the 7 year old and I are totally attached at the hip....to quote Lindsey Buckingham..."I think I'm in trouble".

I'm digging the "new Dude" a lot more these days myself although after so many years of pickleing myself nightly I have trouble falling asleep at night....no problem when I'm with Karen but it sucks on the nights I'm out here alone with the folks and she's on the other side of town..

My Trans-orange Sterling is BKA 'Carrot Top', after the comedian.

After all, it's orange with a pale neck (maple), it's loud, and every time I see it, I want to slap it.
