My girlfriend thinks its the funniest thing that my guitars all have a name. Gold Axis- Goldie, The Green Axis and Axis Sport are the Twins (or Emma and Emmy) and the AL (Thanks to my girlfriend) is now Darth Vader. (Vader for short) Does anyone else name their guitars? and if so what are their names?

Mmmmmm... Sandy. That name brings back fond memories. :) I used to call my gold Axis “Natasha” named after one the sexiest blond woman I ever knew.

LOL, this is a funny thread but I do name most of them, sometimes strange names but still a name.

Lets see, my trans orange Al is the Lynn and AL, named after my wifes deceased parents, my amethyst burst Luke is the Evelyn , named after my deceased Mom, the Gold Roller is Goldie, and my wife calls the Hot Rod Red ASS the Santa Claus guitar:), have not named the HH AL yet and probably wont.

My two youngest kids insist that my guitars all get a name:

The Ruby Burst BFR is called "Ruby" (Original, huh?). The Dargie is "Deliliah", because I succumbed to some serious temptation to get it, a process which nearly lead to my financial downfall.

Bec (my eldest daughter) hasn't finalised a name for her Luke, though we sometimes call it "Lucious". (Again, you can see we are very original at naming our guitars.)

Curiously, I have only named my EBMM guitars. I just figured that out. They are:
Spaceball 3000 (it was named long before I got it and cannot change the name of a legend)
Unstained
Sublhouette

The first 2 are in my pic and the 3rd has an entire thread about her.

Mine are basically named for their colours, so Morse is "the blue one" and so on.

Curiously, the only guitar that I had anmed in a different way was a Blue Dawn JP7 - for some strange reason it was the "oar" or "paddle". It was probably for the neck size. My God, do I regret selling it :(.

i used to have a guitar that was called the FBOMB- which was given my a friend of mine at my church 'cause i used to have crummy straps and she wanted to see me drop the FBOMB in church...

I need to name my 20th... maybe we should leave naming up to fellow knuckleheads... so we get a new BALL and we post a picture and the first poster gets to name it... LOL!!!

my guitars name is Luke, you can guess what it is.

There's also john

the only interesting one is amber (no pictures sorry), at some meet and greet for G3 i took my ibanez RG to steve vai and asked him to name it, after about 5 seconds he wrote Amber behind the bridge like he does on his guitars haha.

what was also funny was that as it was a G3 signing, satriani and petrucci were also there but i didnt even ask them to sign anything, getting stuff signed is the most pointless thing ever, despite the fact that out of the 3 of them, vai is probably my least favourite. however having a guitar christined (did i spell that right?), totally worth the sore, cold ass sitting on the concrete for 3 hours to meet a couple of guitar "gods" .. pfft, no it wasnt

My envy green AL I typically just call The AL but I did give it the name Marta after the green Orion slave girl played by Yvonne Craig (a/k/a Batgirl) on Star Trek
The gremlin green Al is The Gremlin
The natural top ASS is The Natural
And since it it pretty much surf green in nature I think I'll just start calling the new one The Dude
