I'm usually pretty good at keeping secrets... but I'm so excited that i can't resist dropping a few classified hints. the game changer has really just been a smokescreen to keep you guys off the trail of the real flagship 2012 innovation... code named... the "cow poke".... it is a flaming red jack williams signature model 2 string bongo (1 up / 1 down headstock, flats only) features special 19v pre-amp / security system that will not emit a single note from its 4 - 1/4" jacks (each string in stereo) until you've blown at least a 1.9 b.a.c. into the built-in breathalyzer attachment which also doubles as a very short bass strap with keyless strap locks. sweet spot chin rest on drool resistant pick guard optional. limited ed. red afro wig and map of texas case candy. get your orders in now... the cow poke is dripping wet with un-obtanium.

I will order that in a New York minute. What is a New York minute anyway?

You knew the rest was going to be a lie by the opening statement.

I have been remarkably efficient in NOT calling people up and asking what's new. I really and truly have no clues beyond the now-public cobalt strings. But the Stiffness has my vote!

And a Jack Williams signature Bongo would be dead boring. It would be stock except for maybe some kind of crazy paint-job. And one pickup. Of course with flats from the factory. I could get by with two strings most of the time.

I blew my NAMM budget on a new Reflex, so I'm hanging like the rest of you guys, waiting for secret agents to post photos and spill the beans.

After thinking about it, every year is something special for Music Man at NAMM. After all, doesn't NAMM stand for National Association of Music Man?
