Yep. I feel the same way. But actually, the JP16 is growing on me. I already pre-ordered the JP16, the Valentine, the St. Vincent, and the SBMM JP15. Will probably order the SBMM Maj too. That's my guitar budget for this year lol.
I hate to say it, because I'm not a EBMM fanboi, but IMO, they're the only ones who brought anything worth owning to NAMM this year. Maybe the new Digitech Trio+ has some cool potential. Granted, I wasn't there, but I've watched a BUTTLOAD of videos and read reviews.
But I would lose it if they release a, 8-string sometime this year, just as a favor to fans

Well, BP replied to a thread on this forum that when JP asks for an 8-string they'll make one, so for now we'll have to wait. However the JP16 is looking great!

I had a feeling its gonna be awhile. I ended up getting an Agile 827 and love it. I have my JP6 and JP7 too so I suppose Im set for awhile.

While it may be interesting to see EBMM go that route, it remains to be seen whether it's something JP wants or not.
Really cool to get confirmation that it's happening. I guess this means the DT album after The Astonishing will feature 8 string goodness!

They are the best on the planet, hands down and Sterling and family are the greatest. Since the AMA with Brian there has been no further development of the JP8, however there is a design that is in the works and it is something that we are talking about as a possibility for the future.
