Whose stoked?! Seems like the guitar side of the forum is having a blast. I wonder what they've got in store for us over on this side

I saw the Caprice will be offered in a natural finish. Told my local dealer I wanted one. He said probably June. That gives me time to unload some gear to have funds available when it arrives.

Yes, pics are already there:

They still say Alder - natural looks more like my 70s natural Ash one...

Mary Lauren is insisting on a ring before the next bass... who needs to get married anyway?

Jeremy, as much as I think you need a 30th Stingray 5... I think you need that ring more. First time I am telling someone on this forum not to buy something in 10 years. I need to fire up my smoker soon and pretend I'm BP and have you guys over soon. Guess we could have had his whole conversation via text. JOSH

30th Anniversary Stingray 5

it's been a while since i have been on this board...i played a stingray 5 for 12 years of the 30 years i have been playing. My question is i am very interested in buying one of the 30th Anniversary stingray 5's. 1) Does's a person have to preoder to get one? 2) Are they a limited run? 3) Or will the stores stock these and you can buy one when they are available? Thanks for your time.

1) Pre-ordering is a good way to make sure you get one of the Anniversary models
2) They are limited in the sense that they will only build as many as there are orders placed during the 2017 order window
3) Some stores will stock these and you can buy when they have one available (we have a few on order)

As a side note, the link you have shared is for a special version of "Old Smoothie" which is a 4-string bass. This special version includes the features of the 30th Anniversary 5-string model in a 4-string package.
