Backdraft is not a new color. It's on the EBMM site and has been all of 2025. Sabre

I know what will be announced (and I am not spilling it). It's pretty cool. You only need to wait until tomorrow!!!
OK never seen it before but I also do not look at Sabres , have mine and I am good

Ohhhh 30th anniversary Axis. I know people will love those OG style colors. The bass colors are nice too. As for me. I'm on break from buying anything after buying TWO new EBMM basses in the same week OOPS. One of them also is in a color that is better than any other currently offered, IMHO.

I was hoping the Axis would get a refresh, including a proper width neck. Doing a 30th with the retro colors is that lazy fomo stuff that PRS does.

What's wrong with the current width? I thought it was pretty much the same since the EVH contract ended.

Also, hate to say it, but retro sells. People who missed out the first time want their shot. People who were in diapers the first time want their shot.

Besides the fact one can pull the high E off the edge of the fretboard just by looking at it wrong? :) I don't expect Charvel Guthrie Govan levels of fretboard real estate, but Axis is just sooooo narrow.

The nut is the same as it always was (1-5/8", vintage Fender standard spec, as it is on the Luke, Morse, Albert Lee, Silhouettes, Cutlass, StingRay, StingRay II, Valentine, St. Vincent, Edgerton, Kensrue, Fluff, and Mariposa). But the EVH was much narrower at the last fret. When he left and the EVH became the Axis they took the opportunity to fix that, making it as wide as the Luke at the last fret 2-3/16". The other guitars are 2-1/4" at the last fret. Petruccis, Sabre, Rabea, Richardson, Kaizen, are all 1-11/16" at the nut.

The Axis will almost certainly never change.
