The title says it all. Curious if EBMM has been working on one and I haven't seen anyone ask yet haha.

I was about to reply and say since the JP15 just came out, that I wouldn't expect anything.

Then I did a quick search and saw it was revealed at the beginning of the year. Wow is time flying.

I would love a "Majesty 16" or something to that effect. Something that crosses the best of the Majesty with the best of the anniversary models. But let's face it - either way, I'm gonna buy one, so...

What about an 8 string Majesty version? When the Majesty came out, I remember an interview of JP talking about this possibility.

wish they'd just make the majesty II with a roasted maple neckthrough design. same access to upper frets. same pickups and config.

I've got this 8string now I don't ever play... But if music man comes out with I'm sure it will be really cool. Sadly I don't think I would buy it.

What???? That must be a LA custom shop right? Ive never seen an 8 string j custom

It's not a LACS but Ibanez did do them a few years back for just that year. I want to say it was 2013 but it came in two colors this and the transparent black. But yea doesn't get much love I do have a custom jp7 bfr.

Oh God yes! I've been so tempted by the Maronne Majesty - if they made one that combined everything i love about the JP15 with the ergonomics of the Maj... MMMM

My suggestion would be going back to the original JP6 design, roasted maple neck, ebony fretboard or a very dark rosewood, 17 inch radius, Illuminator pickups and maybe one or two additional tweaks, not sure what else you can improve in this model.

For wood choices maybe a full mahogany body, or ash.

Mahogany and ash are pretty far appart in sound :) mahogany would be cool with a roasted maple neck and fb! Of course a trans finish on the mahogany body, this has been proven to look verry nice on the neptune blue series.

Yeah, definitely very different woods. In my experience Ash with a maple neck sound a little bit too bright, but with the right choice of pickups it balances out. The rosewood FB would play a big part as well.

They say Basswood with a maple top is the thing but in the original JP6 design I think it was difficult to accommodate a top because of the arm scoop so maybe that's why they went with a full basswood body.
