Back in Dallas.

It was a very good time and thanks to all the guys (Beth's one of the guys, dammit) at EBMM for putting up with us loitering like child molesters around the playground.

I have a ton of other photos, but mostly of the 'other stuff' at NAMM. F*nder had, yawn, let me see, oh yeah, some Jazz and Precision basses. Woo-hoo.

Peavey had some really horrifically constructed basses. You want to see some nasty neck joints? Yikes. I expected better.

We talked to David N from Eden and he had one of the few things to really interest us - an extremely lightweight and small footprint Eden head with 260 watts.

A lot of these new featherweight heads seem to be too transparent for me. This one was powering an 8-10 cabinet and sounded big and juicy.

Anyway, thanks again to BP and crew for the patience, the fun, the food, the beer, the martinis and for being just way too cool for school.

I love you guys, I really do.

Jack

I was really happy to be there. I tried to talk Dudley into posing with these guys ("It's a once in a lifetime opportunity, Dudley"), but to all my haranguing, Dudley had a one-word response, and it wasn't "yes".

jackie if someone wanted to murder me i would hope they were as beautiful as you...but maybe with eyebrows, and their henchmen would have to be as malicious as the ones above

Just now getting able to check out the forum. At my mom's house and had a wonderful dinner...thanks mom!

NAMM show was fun. My brother went with me and had a great time and was part of the family. Thanks all for the great time. I have a ton of pics to post, but I will not get home until late Monday, so I will post a link to them on Tuesday.

Big Poppa, thanks for the food and beers. It was great to see you as always. We had a great time. I am working on getting my bro an EBMM so he can throw out that "other" brand guitar.

Beth, great to see you again. We had fun.

Scott, Brian, Kevan, Dan, Scott, and anyone I missed - thanks a million. It was fun as I thought it would be.

Pete and Nick...fun as usual. I will give you a call this week sometime.

Bovine, good seeing you again my friend! Take care. See you in November!

Back in FTW.....

Thanks so much BP, the fabulous EBMM gang and the great forumites I met at the show. Thanks to all of you for making me feel like family. I had such a great time meeting everyone and hanging with old friends, even met new Texans Ed Friedland and his beautiful wife and had a great chat. We ate good, drank good, laughed our asses off and played some of the coolest basses.

I learned a lot as well. One thing that surprises me about the EBMM guys is how young they all appear to be but the experience they have between them is amazing. BP has put a hell of a team together.

I came in for a while on Sunday afternoon and played that DD for about 30-45 minutes uninterupted. That's the one I want, Jack. DD Sterling HS. Final answer. ;)

Thanks, Dude, for making it happen for me! :D Missed you, bro!

Hey Ray,
Can you tell me why you picked that over the HH Sterling? I've never had a chance to play an HS Stingray or Sterling but I like the HH versions a lot. Are all positions on the HS humcancelling?

No problem Ray-Ban. I see you need a new Dude Pit t-shirt though...looks like that one's been washed a jillion times. PM me your size.

Well, it is one of the first ones, lol. A large would be great Boss, thanks!

Brad, I played each position through the Pandora they had and I didn't hear hum on any of them, but I can't say for sure. I originally was going to get a HH but after playing all the different basses pickup combos the HS sounded best to me, has a bit more bite with the single coil IMO.

You could have asked me any old time, but NO, you had to get it from the famous guy, didn't you?

;)

Glad you had fun, even if you did have to impersonate Steve.

Jack has eyebrows they are just white.

Koogie, BP was giving out beer and food. Sounds fun as hell... I mean heaven.

Only store owners, dealers and invited musicians can go to NAMM, right?
