I guess my question was more about whether or not the bfr line would possibly be discontinued verses the jpx line. I had a jpxi on order and cancelled it, because I had a feeling the bfr line with the stained tops were going stainless. As much as I hate to order another guitar, I'm hoping to order the bfr this week now that it's stainless. I really like the jpxi, but I'm all about the fancy tops! I just didn't want to see the stained tops go away... They really are some of the nicest in the industry plus I feel like the bfr is much better quality than the standard.

... I realize jpx's are bfrs

Same here about the stainless frets. Now that they're standard, I'd rather buy a BFR with a transparent stained top. They look so much better.

What I don't understand is the minimal amount of colors offered for JP's BFR line. At least change them up a bit more. I'm still waiting on the return of the Tobacco Burst color. I want that on a 6 string, flame maple top, JP BFR.

Thanks for the report BP and Pete. Very cool to get an insight of all that madness.

Jvh and biggestmuff, you guys are forgetting that the JPs are HIS guitar and built to his specs not yours.

Missed you there Pete. Since I am one of the 'visitors' who don't work in the music industry, I try to keep a low profile at NAMM. Although I do have no real business being there, it's just really great seeing in person all the instruments and stuff that you only see on-line. Most of the obscure stuff from small builders you never find in stores, so it's great to be able to check them out.

I have said this before, one thing I really like about the Music Man booth is the little play stations they have. For example, the booth across from EB had some really really nice guitars to look at, and even touch and hold, but no where to plug it in. Actually several other booths had their guitars strapped to the wall. I like the fact that you can grab a EBMM guitar and play it (without having to plug into an amplifier and letting everyone around you know how much you suck compared to all the brilliant players within arms length of you.)

So glad I'm included in that first batch of Gamechangers coming to you, Pete. I've been waiting for what seems like...a year... ;)

So, is there an instruction manual with the GC that looks like a dictionary now, or what?

GC with signaled MIDI function. It's not even funny what you can do with a gamechanger an axe fc and midi foot
Controller. It's literally mind boggling when i think about it.
