I'm set to buy one if/when she comes out. In the mean time I've modded my old Crybaby and I have to say I'm pretty darn happy with the results. A few resistors here and there and it's a different animal.

Hey Jason, do you have the docs for the mod? If the EB Wah doesn't pan out for whatever reason I might want to give that a try.

thanks!

Yeah, absolutely. I was messing with a few old pedals and added DPDT footswitches to make them true bypass (cut open my script-logo MXR Phase 90 ... glad that one turned out OK). So I did that to the Crybaby. Also replaced the pot with the Fulltone Icar pot. My old one was shot and scratchy anyhow.

Removed the input buffer after adding the DPDT:

Then generally did what's discussed here:

http://homepage.ntlworld.com/s.castledine/greenfuz/wah.html

Really sounds great. I used a 56k for the Vocal mod and it's got just the right amount of "woh" at the top of the sweep. Sound great with some gain.

Jason,
Thanks for the info. I wondered if part of the reason was to make it a true bypas pedal. I know most wah pedals are notorious tone suckers.

thanks!

Great info! I've got to try this.
