will we be able to decide whether or not we get a control plate?

ahhh that HS Sterling is just teasing me ...

The blue HS above is actually a Stingray, easiest way to tell is by looking at the last fret (the Sterlings have one more). The prototype SR4's without pickguard look very much like a Sterling.

Here are a couple of other pics to round out the new four string options.

I tried to bring home that Pacific Blue Burst Sterling, but couldn't pry it out of Scott's hands. I guess I'll have to wait for one too.

good eyes dude, i didnt even bother looking at the number of frets. the whole "missing control plate" thing threw me off.

i kinda like the fact that it threw me off. its like looking at me saying "hey, guess who i am".

Doug if you can sneak away with one of the SR5s you know where to find me.

the preamp and pots will be installed as usual the 5 way switch will be back loaded. It would be cleaneer to back load the whole thing, but after talking to you guys and customers at the namm show along with living with them there we frelt that the sting ray should retain its vibe

Now that makes my day, it's another little detail I was thinking about concerning the new Ray's. I couldn't be more satisfied now. Well... untill my new HH Ray gets here.

I asked Scott Ball if I could take an HS Sterling home and got shot down. No double p/up basses were going to go. So I guess we are all going to have to wait for them.
