OK,
I have on order a HBE Big D but Joel seems to be swamped and it's gonna be 8 weeks getting to me :(
Any suggestions for somthing to get the "distortion monkey" off my back in the mean time?
Been thinking Line 6 Uber, or Boss pedal.
I don't wanna spend too much (not with the Big D coming) just somthing "for now".

Although, the Boss ME-50 looks interesting with ALL the effects it has.

Any opinions/advice please? :)

Cheers,
Nick

Hello

I bought recently a Wasabi Distortion (AX-1)...not bad for a pedal that costs only 60€.
It is "made in China" but it seems to be a good quality (metal box ...).
You have different voicings, a boost (5 or 10 dB), a delay ...

If you want to hear a demo : http://www.wasabitone.com/

Bye

I have used the Line 6 Uber, and it sounds heavier than lead! Plus it has a built in noise gate which is real handy. Plus they are not that expensive.

If you want something cheap and cheerful (or they're cheap here at least - £40 for a marshall compared to £65 for a BOSS) grab a Marshall Guvnor or a Jackhammer. Suprisingly very well built too! Our vocalist has a Guvnor which I steal to take along with me for backup purposes whenever we hit the road and it's always been able to take a few beatings.
