^ I missed out on a second hand AL body a while ago and contemplated doing that type of finish.
I've done it (Gunstock oil finish) to a Strat and a Tele body of a good friend of mine and they came out awesome !!!

the body was on ebay 3-4 months ago? If my memory pills are correct. I feel my next Al will have a woody finish with subtle hints of rosewood,maple syrup,candy,pacific ocean etc...SLO-town does make some good wine and the worlds best guitars.

That's right Travs - it had a recessed neck plate - Tommyindelaware beat me to it, and got it. ( I was the 3rd highest bidder)

Believe it or not, but there was actually a Morse Y2d body in natural on ebay some time back. It went for like 100 bucks I think. I contemplated getting it but then decided not to.

No kidding! Wow, that would be cool. I'm about to start measuring up the dimensions of my Morse for a project on a buddy's CNC machine
