My SR5H Dargie Delight is my #1 bass, but I needed a backup instrument. I bought a BFR Bongo 5H, but I just couldn't bond with it (it will be for sale soon ;)) It's an awesome bass, just not my awesome bass.

I started browsing for a used SR5H and found this beauty on the Guitar Center used site. I clicked on location... I couldn't believe it was here in Nashville! I spent my lunch break the next day playing it and buying it

It sounds warmer and "woodier" than my Dargie, and weighs 14 ounces less. I imagine the differences in tone can be the alnico magnets and rosewood neck. It still sounds like a Stingray, which the Bongo never did.

On to the pictures...

Nice. I've always had a soft spot for black basses. Condition on that one looks 10/10 or pretty damn close.

I can see you don't scrimp on your amp & cabs, either.

It has fingernail scuffs on the pickguard. Other than that, it's a 10 for sure!

I used to have huge gear... GK800RB with Mesa 215 cab. My back can't handle that stuff any more, so I went compact. That GB Streamliner has all the punch of the big amp in a tiny package, and the Mesa PH112 cabs are fantastic! (even if they are still pretty heavy)
