Well, after many, many months, I finally received my PDN Bongo 5H lined fretless today. When the orders started shipping in September or so, I wait about a month and contacted my dealer. Somehow my order had been screwed up or something as it was marked on my invoice as a lost order or whatever. Well, anyway, better late than never. :)

This is my first small EQ Bongo and it's the first bass I've ever had that sounds perfect with no EQ (other than everything at the center detents).

Even the compensated nut is at the correct height for a fretless and to top it off, the nut is black (which really looks fantastic).

Oh, and it weighs 8.8 lbs. That's incredibly lightweight for a 5 string. The new tuners look great too. I wasn't sure how I was going to like them since I'm so used to the old tuning machines on all my Musicman basses but they look great.

Pics to follow in a day or so. :D

Congrats, glad it was resolved and you were able to get it, the PDN Bongo is incredible. The new tuners really work well, and
they got you under 9lbs.
Happy New Year

I'm sure the new tuners reduced some of the weight but a mahogany bodied bass that light is incredible.

Yeah agreed no question a hog body under 9 is heaven. I'm pretty sure BP said the tuners save a 1/2 lb off the weight. My PDN Bongo is 9.5 and I'm happy, 8.8 is a score. Look forward to seeing it.

Congratulations!! That was a long wait!! Now stop playing for a minute and post some pics!!! :)

Well, everytime I go to take pics, I start playing it and well, you know.

Anyway, it looks just like the one in your signature except mine has lines. :)

Nice! I've always been curious about the bongo sound/feel. Just can't seem to find any easily available in the area. Can find stingrays easily, but not bongos, or even sterlings.
