Visited my local store today and saw this beauty. It was a tough choice between two sr5's, a silver sabre and a 78 pre ernie ball stingray. After playing this i had to have it

According to the guy in the shop there are no rosewood board natural sterling 5's in the uk

The versatility is great, love the 5 way switch. Id never tried a HH until today and love the warmth of the neck pickup

The Sterling 5 has been my first choice of 5 string since they were introduced. I prefer the HS but the HH will do anything you want it to. Welcome to the club!
 
Really happy with it. Everyone whos played it says how amazing the neck feels.
Spent an hour setting it up, got the action nice and low with minimal buzz. Playing at a festival in our town next month, cant wait to get on stage with it
 
Congrats. I've been looking for a Sterling 5 H with maple fretboard for a long time now. They are extremely rare here in Germany. Enjoy yours!

Id recommend them to anybody. I was never a huge fan of maple boards but i think because they are oiled and not lacquered i dont think they are as bright as what you'd get on a fender. The 5 way selector is great, ive found the different pickup combinations affect the mid/high end more and give a very useful range of sounds. That extra pickup makes all the difference and im finding more and more useable sounds. Best bass ive ever played
 
Sweet! My Sterling 5H is my #1 bass (but I love all my other babies, too). Such a great tone.
 
Gigged it a few times and its so effortless to play. Found myself using the 2nd position on the selector, the two inner coils in series, its a very rounded tone and seem to get the most out of the tone controls too. Coming from a sub5 i thought id be going to the bridge humbucker alot but havent used it alot on its own, finding it so nice to have the warmth of the neck pickup.
