Alright... adding to the EBMM love here in my house... found a Bongo 6 HS in "mint" condition... advertised as playing for 20 minutes total. Worked out a deal I'm happy with, and it's en route to me now. It's supposed to be here Thursday sometime.

Once it shows up, I'll take a "family" photo of this, with my Firemist Orange Sterling 5 HH and Bongo 5 HH BFR.

Pretty excited. I've owned a couple sixers (Spector USA bolt on, Pedulla Thunderbolt 6), but they were before I "found" EBMMs. I think my stable will be pretty much complete like this now... but we'll see what GAS does to me, and what EBMM puts out in the future of course :D

Needless to say, I'm pretty excited for it.

Very nice. What's the string spacing on the sixers?
17.5mm, same as 5s. Perfectly comfortable for me.
WOW .. and you're the one to deflorate it with a nice chip on the headstock ... congratz :)
Hehe yeah. It's in brand-new condition, so I'm pretty excited for it! If I didn't manage to get this one, it was likely that I was going to order one from ThePerfectBass.
Wow. Looks great. I'm jealous, I've been craving another 6 banger lately and this didn't help with the gas.
GAS? You should just get one. They're amazing, of course!

Hey Ray,
Looks like you're coming down with a fever (Bongo fever that is). How do you like the HS compared to your HH? I'm torn between getting a Bongo 6 in HS or H.

Melvin,
Yeah, a bit of Bongo fever for sure. Mostly wanted a good 6er in my stable, and I wanted to stay true to EBMM (not to mention that I absolutely love my BFR Bongo 5HH!), so when this popped up I "had" to get it. I debated between HH and HS for a long time. Basically, the deciding factor became - "Which one comes up used first".
Once I get it in my hands and I get some play time on it, I'll let you know what I think of it versus the 5HH as far as tone goes.
I still want to try a single-H'd Bongo. I'm kind of scared to, though :D

Gotta run to Guitar Center one of these days so I can get another wall hanger and take a nice family picture. I'll take a shoddy one tomorrow when the light is OK again.

Hey Ray, ...I just tried Bongo 6 H Stealth at my dealer's store about a few hours ago, ...I just bought small lightweight bass combo stage monitor amp and while testing asked my dealer to give me something of EBMM basses for a test, ..he gives me that Bongo 6...and WOW... , love at first sight! :)
It's more versatile than I've ever expected!!!

Those Bongo 6 bangers are really killer basses! ;)

One day I'll afford myself one too!
