@ lefenton: As I said, the single H and the SSS are totally different animals. I'd say the H is more in the tradition of the classic Music man Tone. It has a deep, clear voice and a lot of punch if you want it to. The alder 4 SSS has is more focused on the mids.
I can not really say that the roasted neck makes a huge difference. It pretty much feels like the neck of my 91 Stingray. But the bass sounds really good overall as far as I can tell by now.
I just can't let it go and stayed up far too long the last days while playing it over headphones...
