Pete, thanks for the teaser the other day, I love it...

It's not the sexy choice with all of the figured tops available but it's exactly what I wanted in this run.

After I placed the order I remembered a quote that I saw on Luke's webpage a few years back and had to go looking to find the source, it was from a poem by Wallace Stevens called "The Man With The Blue Guitar" and it seems appropriate for this run of guitars.

They said, "You have a blue guitar,
You do not play things as they are."

And the man replied, "Things as they are
Are changed upon the blue guitar."

Some quicks pics... Sorry for the reflections, I was in a hurry to get to the Orioles game and I just used the iPhone camera.

That is a beauty. I gazed upon it at Pete's shop and I was blown away by how light the blue looks on maple. The maple tops are just out of this world. Enjoy that bad boy - oh, and I like the big dots. I hadn't noticed that the Reflex had big dots. It's a subtle difference from the other ebmms.

Enjoy!

Thats smokin' hot, Fred!

Plaintops are so cool!!

Jeff, I agree, and that was big part of the decision to go for the Reflex. I had a Les Paul many years ago, and when I was looking I decided I really preferred the R8 plaintops to the fancier R9's, it had nothing to do with the price difference.

Congrats, Fred! That's a great looking axe. Do you have another reflex? I'd be interested in your take on the tone.
