Well i have read in the faq about the maintenance tips for the maple neck with the gun stock oil and wax but. I would like to know experiences you have had with different products and so on. The LAST thing i want to do is ruin the neck.

Thanks

I've only used Murphy's Oil Soap on my Axis' nacks. Granted, I'm not a super-long owner, but I basically just used it to clean off any oil/grime that's built-up. Didn't reseal it or whatever with the oil - if you read the sides of the bottle, they're carcinogens. I don't really want to mess with that.

I condition my neck about once a month with Dr. Stringfellow Lemon Oil. I wash my hands before I play my Axis. Other than just a little buildup, I've never had a problem with the "EVH GRIME". The small amount of buildup that there is, comes right off with the lemon oil and a little scrubbing. I also always store my guitar in it's case, which prevents dust from collecting on the neck and helps keep it clean.
