neck pick-up on the bongo 5 H/S

I believe I read somewhere that the neck pick-up on the H/S bongos' was updated around '06, Is this correct or do I need to lay off the sauce? and If it is true can a person acquire such a pick-up or trade out the original one in his/her bongo for the new improved unit?

I believe it was mid '05. I remember there being talk shortly after my BC Fretless HSp Bongo came in June of that year.

Oh theres always room for another EBMM bass, just check out my signature, and that is only the ones I own now. I lost count of how many EBMM's I've owned over the last 15-20 years. but I really don't need another H/S bongo 5, or do I?
