Guys,
When I received my BFR Emerald ASS a few weeks ago, I noticed that the back of the neck was super dry & very abrasive(along with the fret board being a mess). I finally got around to sanding and re-oiling/waxing.
Somebody recommended using 0000 steel wool. I decided to give it a try. I followed Drew Montel's video and just finished with a nice coat of wax. Holy s#*@ ! This neck is now as smooth and silky as my Purple Tribute.
Just submitting this thread to give a thumbs up on the steel wool method. I highly recommend this on necks that require some serious TLC. Hope this helps.
