I'm currently on my 4th & 5th Stingrays, & I've never had neck trouble with any of my past or present EBMM basses. :)

I've got a newer Sterling, (one winter with it) and haven't touched the truss yet. Best outta the box bass I've ever had. BTW, the Sterling has a smaller neck, than the 'Ray, and I have no problem with it. EBMM gets better every year.

I bought a SR4 from a kid who taught you could lower the action by twisting the trust all wayy to one side ,when that didn't work he twisted it all the way to the other side and then put it under his bed for a year!!

I got it cheap because I taught it would need a new neck,as it was like a ski jump. But I played with it and got it playing and feeling great.

Dont listen to people listen to your heart, there is no better bass than a SR5.It will make you smile like a child in a sweet shop.

OK now I get to vent. Bass1 Welcome. The thread title makes me knash my teeth and swat extra hard at flies. If someone was just perusing the forum and saw"neck warping in new SR4" You would think that somebody has bought a new bass with a bad neck. That then would plant the seed that maybe our necks aren't good..which is unitentionally unfair to us...then you read the thread and is says that basically he has heard that we make bad necks.......If soeone just stopped there we make bad necks......

Il will put our necks on the line so to speak and say noone makes a better neck and one that is easier to adjust.

I have heard some bad things in the past about necks warping on these Stingray's. Is this true of the current Stingray's. I really want to purchase one because I love the action feel and tone, but I don;t want to have to adjust the truss every week. I this still a problem with new Stingrays???

Thanks in advance,

Nick

Nick...in a nut shell there's nothing wrong with the necks.

By the way, welcome to the Forum and stick around.
